Carer support

If  you are a carer looking after someone who is ill, frail, disabled or mentally ill and we would like to support you.

No matter how much you love the person you are looking after, caring can be a lonely and stressful experience, which can effect your health. You may feel a little low, have aches and pains from providing extra help, or be exhausted and therefore more susceptable to infections. You may not have time to care for yourself. So if you feel that we could help by giving you a check up or putting you in touch with a Carer Support Worker please make an appointment with your GP, or complete a form from the carer’s notice board in reception and someone will contact you.

The carers notice board is kept up to date with useful information and contact groups.

To contact the Somerset Carer Support Workers direct phone 0800 316 8600 or email carers@somersetrcc.org.uk or visit the Somerset Carer Support website.
