Talking therapies self-referral

You can self-refer to talking therapies if you are registered with a GP practice in Somerset.

Problems they can help with are:

  • adjustment to long term health conditions
  • anxiety or worry about your health
  • body image problems
  • childhood difficulties
  • depression or low mood
  • eating difficulties
  • excessive worrying
  • extreme shyness and social phobia
  • managing complex emotions
  • Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD)
  • panic and agoraphobia
  • specific phobias
  • stress and adjustment reactions
  • trauma and PTSD

Direct to Digital launch – Talking Therapies – Somerset IAPT Service

We are pleased to announce the launch of the Talking Therapies – Somerset IAPT Service Direct to Digital Offer.

The digital offer is provided by SilverCloud in partnership with the Somerset Talking Therapies service. Patients can access the service via the following link: Online Cognitive Behavioural Therapy – Somerset Talking Therapies (somersetft.nhs.uk). This will offer a rapid access to Talking Therapies, as the service user will be set up on the system in a matter of days.
